Paul Henderson

Minister of Music and Worship

Paul Henderson, a native of Kansas, received the Bachelor of Music degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in Church Music, and the Master of Music in Vocal Performance degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Paul has held church music positions in Oklahoma, Texas, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he was Associate Pastor for Music and Worship for more than 21 years at Broadmoor Baptist Church.

In 2022, he graduated from Louisiana State University with a DMA in choral conducting, where he studied with Dr. John Dickson. While at LSU, Paul coached young conducting students and regularly conducted the A Cappella Choir and Chamber Choir. He continues to mentor young conductors and singers and considers it one of his great joys when they choose music as a career path, particularly church music.

Paul and his wife, Kim, have two grown daughters, Alyssa and Ashtyn who live in Baton Rouge. Paul loves being at Highland and enjoys learning about the greater Louisville community. He and Kim enjoy cooking, good conversation, and spending time with friends and family. He sings with the Louisville Master Chorale and is a member of American Choral Directors Association, the American Guild of Organists, and the Choristers Guild. Paul is an avid LSU Tiger fan. Geaux Tigers!
