Chris Caldwell
Interim Pastor
Chris Caldwell was a pastor for 25 years before joining the full-time faculty of Simmons College of Kentucky in 2017.
Hope is a recurring theme in his sermons. Chris believes in a God of grace who is always more interested in where you are going than where you have been. His goal in preaching and teaching is to allow the truths of scripture to shed light on the realities and struggles of everyday living. One of his favorite comments along the way was someone who said, “I feel as though you are preaching to me, and not at me.”
He holds degrees from Rhodes College, Southern Seminary, and Baylor University (PhD). He and his wife, Jeanne, have two adult children. Chris has a lifelong love of basketball, God’s favorite sport, and communicates fairly well in Spanish.
Chris is always happy to answer questions about Highland and its ministries. Please feel free to contact him at chris@hbclouisville.org
