Project work continues with geothermal well drilling. By the end of the day Tuesday 11 of the planned 22 wells will have been drilled. Last Friday a second drilling rig arrived onsite which has increased the pace of work. Here’s a map of the church grounds with the upper parking lot drawn with circles where the wells are going in.
Asbestos abatement work under the sanctuary is tentatively complete, pending testing to verify that no more hazardous material is found in soil samples. Assuming that the work is finished, excavation work under the sanctuary choir loft and the sanctuary itself will begin this Monday, October 16.
