The Adult Ministry Group works each year to provide occasional speakers, artists, retreats, and seminars to enrich the spiritual lives of Highland’s adults.

Past theological seminar speakers include Brian McLaren, Walter Brueggemann, Ed Shirley, Amy-Jill Levine, and Marcus Borg.  Highland holds a Winter Study each year over the course of a weekend to provide space for our members to delve more deeply into a book of the Bible, a theological topic, or a cultural study. Past years have highlighted the prophetic texts of Isaiah and a study on the Gospel According to Harry Potter.

Retreats for women, men, and couples have provided opportunities to get away, build community, and learn from one another. Recent seminars on parenting, living the Christian life, and various aspects of engaging in justice and reconciliation work in our community have enriched Highland’s adults.
