Our Location

Much of Highland’s rich history is rooted in our space.  Situated at the corner of Grinstead Drive and Cherokee Road, our unique urban location infuses our congregation with a sense of rootedness in the dynamic, eclectic Highlands community. Since 1908, Highland Baptist Church has sought to live out the message of love to our Highlands neighborhood and the entire Louisville metro area.

HBC Exterior DoorwayLike any other church or faith community, our building is used for the regular rhythms of our church life: worship and Bible Study on Sundays, dinner and educational classes on Wednesdays, meetings and small groups on weeknights, and occasional retreats or special events for our members of all ages. Additionally, on any given day at Highland, you may see our space filled with wedding parties on the weekend, groups of refugee women and children gathering for ESL classes, groups of men and women who struggle with addiction and have made a temporary home at one of Louisville’s shelters or halfway houses arriving by the busload for AA or NA meetings, citizens lining up to vote on election day, limber athletes arriving for Saturday morning yoga classes, and folks from the community arriving to pick up fresh produce by the basketful. Highland’s space is truly multipurpose and available for use by your group or organization!
