The Ministry Council at Highland Baptist Church is a group of elected leaders who minister to the congregation by attending to the business of the church and the ministries within it. Our Ministry Council is led by the Chair and Vice Chair of Ministry Council and is comprised of the ministerial staff, the Chair and Vice Chair of Deacons, the Chair of the Finance Ministry Group, and six elected congregational representatives.

The Ministry Council meets monthly on the first Monday of the month to discuss, propose, and when needed recommend to the church business that is generated from the ministry groups. The Ministry Council is responsible for creating the agenda for each Quarterly Church Conference and communicating any pertinent church business in the church newsletter. The Ministry Council acts as a support for ministry groups, oversees planning of the church calendar, and serves as a governing body for issues that arise in the church.

For the 2020 church year, our Ministry Council Chair is Loren Townsend, and our Ministry Council Vice Chair is Karen Park.
