You are invited to log onto Highland’s Facebook page or YouTube channel for a special Thanksgiving Day service on Thursday, November 26.
We continue to worship safely from our homes due to the high virus rates but a special movie has been created with all the elements of our well-loved Thanksgiving morning service, complete with moments of gratitude from our faith community! The movie will be available for viewing on Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 a.m.
Phyllis and Chet Watson decorated the Commons with their beautiful fall foliage as a backdrop to our service. The service bulletin will be available via a link in the comments.
We look forward to the day when we can gather safely again in our sanctuary for this beloved service because don’t forget—this is the one service of the year that comes with the smell of a delicious breakfast wafting upstairs from Fellowship Hall!

Highland’s Thanksgiving Day Offering
The special offering received Thanksgiving morning is very special and crucial to one of Highland’s most important mission projects… to provide affordable housing to needy families. More specifically, this offering will provide Highland’s portion of the sponsorship for a Habitat for Humanity home to be built this Spring.
For the last 26 years, a group of Baptist churches has pooled funds and volunteers to build a “Baptist Sponsored” home. The sponsorship fee pays for the materials needed for construction.
Over the last few years, the cost of construction materials has skyrocketed. The sponsorship fee has risen from $25,000 to $50,000. Historically, our contribution has been approximately $3,000. This needs to increase to at least $5,000. We need your contributions.
You can give by sending or bringing an offering designated for Habitat for Humanity to the church office or you can give online by clicking the button below. Once you are on the page you can designate the offering to Habitat for Humanity in the “Comments” section.
Your offering can be received through the end of December.
Being thankful for the blessings of your own home and mindful of the importance of home ownership, give generously with a joyful heart!
Thank you for supporting this mission project!
