Personnel Ministry Group, Pastor Search Committee, and Staff have begun our work to welcome Rev. Mary Alice Birdwhistell as Highland’s next Pastor! Mary Alice’s first Sunday is scheduled for August 16.

On Sunday, June 14, the Pastor Search Committee announced that Highland Baptist Church overwhelmingly approved Mary Alice as the next Pastor of Highland Baptist Church. Voting via online and phone calls to the church, members and voting affiliates voted 380 in favor and 7 opposed. The approval rate was just over 98%. The church bylaws require at least an 80% “yes” vote to call a pastor. Joy overflows as we look to end these days of interim and see what God has in store as we begin living out our faith with a new Pastor.
