Highland Participates in 25th Habitat for Humanity Baptist House Build

Highland’s Habitat for Humanity Mission Team was in action this past week! Seventeen Highland members volunteered their time Thursday, April 12, and Saturday, April 14, to “Raise the Roof” on the 25th Baptist Habitat for Humanity House. The house was sponsored by donations from our church, along with Beechland, Lyndon, Melbourne Heights, Middletown, Pleasant Grove, Saint Matthews and Westport Road Baptist Churches. On Thursday, Highland’s Emma Leachman Global Women Group provided lunch for the workers.

Habitat’s Mission Statement, “Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity Metro Louisville brings people together to build homes, community and hope through housing solutions of home ownership, community development and home repair.”

If this is something that you want to be a part of, contact Sam Rose or Jim McBee, Co-chairs of the Habitat Mission Team, for more information.
