I’m excited that we are gathering Highland’s men together for no other purpose that to have a morning to hang out and build friendships.
We’ll gather on Saturday, July 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the new Floyd’s Fork Park, about 20 minutes south off of Bardstown Road. I love this park. We’ll hike. We’ll talk. We’ll have lunch together. We’ll explore if we want to do it again, or if guys are interested in further gatherings, such as men’s groups or a retreat.
Generally speaking, guys are skittish about getting together for fear of having to “share feelings.” Be assured: there will be no feelings ambush. Before we get near feelings we first need to know that we’re safe, and among friends, among wise people who can help us in our struggles and guide us when we’ve lost our way.
Nothing fancy or surprising on July 29. Just some amazing men of all ages, each with their own story, vantage point, faith, problems, questions, interests.
Let’s get together and see what God does with us! ~ Joe
