True Colors Ministry had over thirty church members and friends march in the parade on Friday night as witnesses to God’s inclusive love. People cheered our church and its courage as we marched along the route up to the Belvedere.
On Saturday, despite the early rain, we gave out many wristbands and brochures to folk from here in Louisville and to some from as far away as Tennessee who’d come to celebrate Pride.
For so many, this festival is the only time they can let their true colors show and feel safe enough to hold the hand of their loved one. It’s a very sacred event in that way and we are so thankful Highland Baptist supports True Colors Ministry’s participation each year.
In addition, our custom-made “God is Love” t-shirts were a huge hit. If you have bought a shirt, please make sure to pick them up as soon as possible. If you would still like to order one, please contact David Bannister email@example.com or see him at the table outside the Sanctuary.
