Building Love Renovation Update – Week of March 16

Work continues this week both indoors and outdoors, as the weather seems to be turning more toward spring and warmth! Many probably noticed the prepared walls on the first floor, and the beginning hints of paint being cut in along ceilings, doorways and outlets. All painting in the hallway near the offices and the classrooms off that hallway should be completed by the end of this week. Be sure to walk through the hall and take a look this weekend!

Work continues upstairs this week as cabinetry installation and hardware installation continues, and by the end of the week, floor preparation will begin so that the VCT tile in classrooms can be put in place starting next week. Toilet partitions will also be fully installed on the second floor by the end of this week as well.

Outside, the new exterior stairwell is being formed up this week, and we anticipate concrete being poured for that area on Thursday. Work will also begin by the end of the week on the exterior sidewalks and preparation for the installation of the concrete ramp that will provide handicap access into the new lobby of our building.

We are grateful for everyone’s flexibility as we continue through this season. Thank you for your continued patience as we navigate these waters of renovation together. –Renee Purtlebaugh
