Three days in and I pause to share of the abundance of Gods Spirit at work as we are encountering Life Together at Passport Youth Camp.
We see youth in our group whose experience suggests they are not worthy be known, lifted up, and celebrated as valued, important, loved members of the community. We see 6th graders sitting relaxed next to 11th graders – boys and girls, popular and awkward – visions of the kingdom of God.
Along the way, we stumble into conversations about calling, depression, fears, future anxieties, self-reflection – all amidst moments of deep laughter, delight, and joy.
The kingdom of God come near. Glimpses – even lingering glances – God’s transforming Love made flesh in human relationship.
Thanks be to God for our Highland community, the sacred ground Passport prepares, and the God who is alive, active, and at work creating more than all we could ask or imagine.
