Bio

Steven Schafer serves as the associate pastor to Highland's partner congregation, Ridgewood Baptist Church on Greenwood Road in Southwest Louisville.  Steven is thrilled to be in Louisville helping Ridgewood Baptist discover and share her progressive voice of faith with the Pleasure Ridge Park community.  Steven received a Bachelor of Arts in General Studies with a minor in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2006 and a Master of Divinity from George W. Truett Theological Seminary in 2009.  Before coming to Highland/Ridgewood in June 2010, Steven served as a music minister at Oak Grove Baptist Church in China Spring, Texas for 3 years.  Steven was raised in Dallas, Texas.  He enjoys playing the piano, kayaking on the Ohio, and going out to eat with his wife, Linsey.
