David and his wife, Tonya, have been members at Highland Baptist since 2003. David has been involved in Highland as a Sunday School teacher to the youth, as well as serving on the Missions and Justice Ministry Group. In the last couple of years, he has helped to start a 12-step, Christ-centered recovery group here at Highland for men battling sex addiction.

Having been called to ministry since he was 16 years old, David is thrilled to be a part of Highland’ s staff as the Friday Church Minister. He is both excited and humbled to be blessed with this opportunity of helping folks in their quest to have a more intimate and tangible relationship with God.

David is a graduate of the University of Louisville with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and has owned and operated a deck business for ten years. He and his wife also ran a bed and breakfast together for seven years. They have two girls, Alexandra and Hannah.

David enjoys any and all outdoor activities and exercise as well as reading and traveling with his family.
