Friday Church

Friday Church ministries extend beyond the weekly gathering for worship and fellowship!  (Learn more about Friday Church here.) As this ministry has evolved, Highland continues seeking to meet the needs of this vibrant community through new ways.

On Wednesday nights, a support group for moms and children from Wayside is available to any who are interested.  After the fellowship meal, children participate in choirs and activities, and the women have a support group where they share their concerns, struggles, and joys. This group supports and challenges one another on their walk of recovery and faith. Women wanting to join the group are encouraged to call Nina Maples for more information.

Another opportunity for our Friday Church participants is to be mentored. Highland members are expected to go through a training process in preparation for walking with someone through the struggles and trials of life and mentoring them. The mentors meet monthly to discuss their concerns and joys, and they are encouraged to meet once a week with their mentees to pray and support them. If you are interested in being part of the group that mentors, or if you need a person to walk alongside you and offer spiritual and life support, contact David Stillwell.
