A Few Words Before We Leave for Casa
Just a moment to write a word... we are all doing well and have a wonderful few days in Rabat! Last night, Sara, Jordan, Alecia and I went back to the migrant church where Sara, Jordan, and Alecia sang Amazing Grace and I preached in the midst of their 2 hours worship service. Then we met up with the rest of the group and had our final Youth Program. Lots of photos were taken and emails exchanged. Our past several days have been amazing and if I were to try to upload every photo and tell every story, I wouldnt be able to leave the computer all day.
Working with Migrants in Rabat
As the group is upstairs in the hotel at the moment, I am back on the computer to share about our trip so far! The past three days have been wonderful as we have entered into the thick of the work that the EEAM is doing with the migrants in Rabat. Shortly after my last blog entry on Sunday, we went to another worship service... this time it was a 25 minute bus ride from downtown in the midst of a neighborhood. We walked into what seemed to be a home to find about 40 African refugees crowded together in a very small room for worship.
Beautiful Sunday in Rabat!
Bonjour from Morocco
We have arrived in Rabat safe and sound after a two hour delay in Cincinnati and a unique experierence on Royal Air Maroc. Day 1 started off well with lunch with the colonel on the beach with our new family friends, Benjamin and Apollonaire; followed by a tour of the exquisite Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca. Then we got on our bus and travelled to Rabat where we checked into our home for the next 7 days. We are thankful to be here in Rabat, showered, fed, and exhausted. Tomorrow we will visit Roman ruins in Vollubilis and the city of Meknes.
We continue to ask for your prayers as we travel and meet new friends in Morocco.
Love, Roy, Carol, Alecia, Wade, Ellie, Sara, Holly, Anna Kate, Matt, Jordan, Carly, and Anna
